With experience in scientific research and science outreach, I have a deep understanding of how medical research proceeds, and I know how important it is to effectively communicate scientific and medical findings.
I hold a PhD in Chemical Biology from Harvard University. While conducting research into malaria biology and therapies at the Harvard School of Public Health, I worked with and learned from fellow researchers and clinicians in immunology, infectious disease, and pharmacology, as well as industry drug development professionals. Within academia and in my work with industry professionals, I’ve written on health and science topics for magazines and the public, prepared and edited scientific manuscripts and grant proposals, developed educational materials for classrooms and outreach events, and prepared slide decks and posters for international conferences.
